Major

General visiting students can join in the majors of undergraduate or Master’s programs
The schooling system for visiting students ranges from 1 semester to 2 years. A non-degree certificate of advanced study will be awarded if the visiting student successfully finishes his/her study at Tongji University. Official transcripts are also available upon request.

Expenses
 
Tuition: 1230RMB/credit (General); 2050RMB/ credit (Senior ) ; (at least pay 8 credit fee/semester)

Insurance fee: 600RMB/Year

Application fee should be paid when applying;

Entry Requirements

1.Non-Chinese citizen in good health.

2.At least one year study at college or higher, pursuing an original or related major study of a certain subject.

Note: Since 2010,those, immigrated to other countries from the Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao or Taiwan and applying to study in Tongji University as international students, should satisfy the following additional requirements: the applicants must hold valid passport or other relevant international recognized documents for at least 4 years; meanwhile, in the latest 4 years (by each April 30th of the year of University registration), the applicants must live overseas for 2 years (Living overseas for 9 months can be converted to 1 year, which is subject to the exit-entry stamp on visa.).

7. Recommendation letters

From two scholars of associate professorship or higher for applicants of Senior Visiting Students Program, in Chinese or English (signature and contact information are necessary, sealed in envelop).

8. Original certificate of New HSK Band 4

Total Score: over 180 and its copy for the programs of Science and engineering. Original certificate of New HSK Band 4 (Total Score: over 200) and its copy for the programs of Architecture, Management & Economics and Medicine.

9. Original certificate of New HSK Band 5

Total Score: over 180 and its copy for the program of Liberal Arts.

10. The certified paper documents

i.e the original certified documents issued by the local Chinese Embassy officer. No matter you will be admitted or not, the materials will be kept in the university permanently.

11. In addition to the above application materials, the university may require applicant to provide supplementary materials, depending on the circumstances.
