1. First Prize (FULL SCHOLARSHIP):
Tuition and room charge(for living in the dormitory on campus) fully waived
Insurance fully covered: RMB600 per person per year
Living allowance: 1000 per person per month

1. Brief Introduction to SWUST Scholarship

  • Scholarship Name: Southwest University of Science and Technology (SWUST) Scholarship
  • Quota: All students who apply this program may apply for the Scholarship, however Southwest University of Science and Technology(SWUST)has the power to make the decision on granting the Scholarship Category (see below).
  • Application Deadline: 30 Dec.2015 for Spring semester of 2016; 30 May.2016 for Autumn semester of 2016.
  • Service fee: CUCAS will charge students who successfully get the scholarship service fee according to the Scholarship Category he/she is granted. All scholarship applicants will pay $500 as service fee, then CUCAS will refund both the application fee and service fee they paid to students who failed to get the scholarship.

2. Scholarship Category & Amount

5. Introduction to School of Manufacturing Science and Engineering

Editor Notes: The School of Manufacturing Science and Engineering is one of the schools with longest history in SWUST.

  • The School offers a master's degree program in primary disciplines of Manufacture Engineering, which is projected for Doctor's Degree Program in the coming years and Mechanical Manufacturing & Automation has been granted the title of Sichuan Provincial Key Discipline.
  • With a faculty of more than 100 members, the school has over 90 full-time teachers including 20 doctors and over 40 masters, over 20 of which are professors and another 50 more of which are associate professors, including 5 returned overseas professors and 30 master candidate supervisors.
  • In recent years, the school has obtained three national invention patents, and 13 new technology patents. Besides, 140 papers have been included in SCI, EI and ISTP. What’s more, the School has won two provincial scientific and technological progress awards.

A: Yes, please refer to our "Terms & Conditions".


Q: When can I know the result whether I get the scholarship or not?
A: Generally, the result will come out around mid-February for Spring Intake and aroud May to June for Autumn Intake.


Q: When will I get the admission documents?
A: The admission documents, including Admission Letter, Scholarship Confirmation and Visa Letter, will be delivered to you 1-2 months before the course starts.


Q: Why should I pay the service fee in advance?
A: Scholarship application takes time, effort and resource in both CUCAS and universities, and the process is irreversible. In case of casual applications and attempts, we charge service fee in advance. There is no extra cost or hidden charge.
