From my viewpoint China Medical University prepares students fully for a career in medicine. The pre-med courses are very profound, clinical courses are very comprehensive the oretically and clinical exposure commences from year 3 for which students may not be given full hands on exposure as compared to other developing countries. However students are given opportunity to learn skills on models etc before being allowed to practice fully. The internship year may have its challenges in that medical students may need to familiarize themselves with the staff at the teaching hospitals and prove capacities before being allowed to take part in clinical tasks/surgeries. The administrative staff are genuinely concerned about students progress and makes study at CMU a very comfortable one.
